Community Involvement
|
WHAT IS THE GRANGE? The Grange is a family, fraternal organization especially interested in community betterment, education, agriculture, legislation and a meaningful way of life. You can easily become a part of one of America's foremost volunteer, grassroots organizations. The Grange is comprised of families and individuals who share a common interest in community involvement , agriculture, and working together in a family environment. Programs, projects and activities offered in every local Grange reflect the interests and talents of its members. Like any organization, the Grange is only as effective as the people who belong want it to be. To become a regular member contact any local Grange or the State Membership Directors for more information or an Application for Membership. |

Over the past several years several individuals have completed a multilevel course to enable them to facilitate leadership seminars. In 2008 a series of leadership seminars will be presented to local groups of Granges. These seminars will be presented over several months which include: Planning skills, Telling the Grange Story, Passing the Torch of Leadership, and Personality IQ (Working with People). The seminars will be held on a local basis with several Granges involved. Travel time and distance will be short. The seminar should be able to be completed in one evening. After all seminars are completed the facilitation team will conduct a session with each Grange to help plan the future of that Grange.
